ALIA Multicultural eNews has had a revamp!

Thank you Ennis Chen for leading the workshop in our first committee meeting on the revamp of the eNewslettter.

From 2025 our eNews will be a themed quarterly publication open to contributions.

Issue one is currently open for submissions with the deadline to contribute by Monday March 17th.

Themes and submission deadlines for each issue are:

January to March

Theme: improving multicultural collections, programs and services

Call outs for submissions: from Tuesday March 4th to Monday March 17th – CURRENTLY OPEN

Issue Published – Friday March 28th

April to June

Theme: emerging fields of research in the library sector

Call outs for submissions: from Monday June 2nd to Sunday June 15th

Issue Published – Friday June 27th

July to September

Theme: advocacy work and library collaborations

Call outs for submission from Monday September 1st to Sunday September 14th

Issue Published Friday September 26th

October to December

Theme: diversifying library teams

Call outs for submission from Monday November 24th to Sunday December 7th

Issue Published – Friday December 19th

Each issue will also include:

AI corner – Brief opinion piece on how AI is affecting collections and services, or libraries in general with a multicultural perspective.

Get to know an ALIA Multicultural committee member.

How to contribute

Reach out and share an idea for publication by the closing date for each quarterly issue via the form below. You can also send an email to discuss ideas.

    There is a subscribe option at the bottom of the page and this will enable you to subscribe to the blog and eNewsletter posts.
